Hello! Thank you for visiting our church website. My name is Jesse DeDeyne and I serve as pastor for both Emanuel and Saint John Lutheran Churches in Fairfax, MN.
I was born and raised in Saint Paul, MN for the first 13 years of my life. After that we moved to central Wisconsin where I attended high school. After high school, I worked for about five years before I went to college.
I attended Bethany Lutheran College and received my BA in Sociology. After undergrad, I attended Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary (Mankato, MN) while also attending Minnesota State University – Mankato (MA – Sociology).
I have previously served churches in Omro, WI, New Hampton and Calmar, IA, and The Dalles and Hood River, OR.
Prior to serving at Emanuel and Saint John, I pursued my Ph.D. in Sociology of Religion at Baylor University.
I married my wife, Katy, in 2007. We have five (5) children: Jonah, Matthew, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Sarah.
